High profile implants are a variant of round implants. These implants are smaller at the base when compared to the normal (also called standard or "moderate") profile implants. This allows the same volume to project farther out. High profile implants can allow a more "natural" breast shape when viewed from the side. Pictured here: a moderate (or standard) profile implant on the left and a high profile implant on the right. They contain the same volume of saline, but note that the high profile implant appears smaller. This is because in 3D it would project out of the screen further than the standard implant.
